Rebekah Marcano, a Chicago native studied Fiction Writing at Colombia College from 1999-2003.

Her short story: Cuerpita Bonita was published in the literary journal; Hair Trigger 23.

As a dancer, she appreciated the sensory practice of the Story Workshop Method which she continued to use while incorporating her own method of combining music and dance to channel the inner voice through writing expression.

Rebekah self published a book of short stories in 2016: Memoirs of a Muñeca Loca.

Rebekah uses writing as a daily meditation practice as well as enjoying the art of story telling through open mics all over Chicago.

Continuing her appreciation for group inspiration, Rebekah took classes at The University of Chicago Writers Studio from 2017-2020. She was nominated for Student Writer of the Year in 2019 and served on the Student Board in 2020.
